Darkrai-EX 107/108 · Dark Explorers

Darkrai is Pokédex #491, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Darkrai-EX is a Basic EX Darkness Pokémon with 180 HP.

Darkrai-EX sits at 107/108 in Dark Explorers, position 107 of 111. Before it is 106 Groudon-EX, and after it is 108 Tornadus-EX. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on May 9, 2012. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 111 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Dark Cloak is listed as Ability. Each of your Pokémon that has any Darkness Energy attached to it has no Retreat Cost. The attack Night Spear lists 90 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai-EX. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Shizurow illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 30 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dark Explorers set binder is where a full Dark Explorers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
