Darkrai BW73/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Darkrai is Pokédex #491, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Darkrai is a Basic Team Plasma Darkness Pokémon with 110 HP.

Darkrai sits at BW73/101 in BW Black Star Promos, position 73 of 101. Before it is BW72 Cobalion, and after it is BW74 Giratina. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Hide in Shadows lists 30 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. You may switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Dark Hole is another attack lists 90 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "To protect itself, it afflicts those around it with nightmares. However, it means no harm."

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Shizurow illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 37 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BW Black Star Promos set binder is where a full BW Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
