Celebi ★ 100/100 · Crystal Guardians

Crystal Guardians is a set in the EX series. It was released on August 1, 2006. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Celebi ★ is 100/100, in position 100 of 100 on this checklist. The card before it is 99 Alakazam ★. The listed rarity is Rare Holo Star.

Celebi ★ is a Basic Star Grass Pokémon with 60 HP. In the Pokédex this is Celebi (#251), generation 2 (Johto).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Celebi, while this one is Celebi ★. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo Star. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

Time Travel is listed as Poké-Power. If Celebi Star would be Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, Celebi Star is not Knocked Out, discard all cards attached to Celebi Star, and put Celebi Star on the bottom of your deck. The attack Leaf Shade lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Count the amount of Energy attached to Celebi Star. Put that many damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: You can't have more than 1 Pokémon Star in your deck.

I keep a set binder for Crystal Guardians, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Crystal Guardians set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Prism Star and Star cards. I still need this card.
