Leafeon-EX 10/83 · Generations

Generations is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 22, 2016. The printed size is 83. This checklist is longer, at 117 cards. Leafeon-EX is 10/83, in position 10 of 117 on this checklist. Before it is 9 Pinsir, and after it is 11 Charizard-EX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Leafeon-EX is a Basic EX Grass Pokémon with 170 HP. In the Pokédex this is Leafeon (#470), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Leafeon (#470) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2025. The earliest other card is Leafeon 7/100 in Majestic Dawn (2008). That card is named Leafeon, while this one is Leafeon-EX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 33 other cards of Leafeon list a different HP.

The attack Leaf Blade lists 30+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. Nature's Breath is another attack lists 90+ damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. If there is any Stadium card in play, this attack does 30 more damage and heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Generations, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Generations set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Leafeon can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
