Darkrai 136/197 · Obsidian Flames

Darkrai is Pokédex #491, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Darkrai is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 130 HP.

Darkrai sits at 136/197 in Obsidian Flames, position 136 of 230. Before it is 135 Absol ex, and after it is 137 Inkay. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on August 11, 2023. The printed size is 197. This checklist is longer, at 230 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Dark Slumber lists 20 damage. The cost is Darkness. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Night Cyclone is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Move all Energy from this Pokémon to your Benched Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It can lull people to sleep and make them dream. It is active during nights of the new moon." The regulation mark is G.

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Bun Toujo illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 40 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Bun Toujo. I count 11 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Obsidian Flames set binder is where a full Obsidian Flames set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
