Parasect 5/159 · Journey Together

Journey Together is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on March 28, 2025. The printed size is 159. This checklist is longer, at 190 cards. Parasect is 5/159, in position 5 of 190 on this checklist. Before it is 4 Paras, and after it is 6 Petilil. The listed rarity is Common.

Parasect is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 120 HP. In the Pokédex this is Parasect (#047), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Paras. In this catalog that name is Paras (#046).

Parasect (#047) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2023. The earliest other card is Parasect 41/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Common. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 12 other cards of Parasect list a different HP.

The attack Spore lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Scissor Swing is another attack lists 60+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 30 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Journey Together, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Journey Together set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Parasect can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
