Celebi V 1/202 · Sword & Shield

Sword & Shield is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Celebi V is 1/202, in position 1 of 216 on this checklist. The next card is 2 Roselia. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Celebi V is a Basic V Grass Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Celebi (#251), generation 2 (Johto).

PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this card. The same name is on 41 other cards in the catalog.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Celebi, while this one is Celebi V. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The attack Find a Friend lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Search your deck for up to 2 Pokémon, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Line Force is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Sword & Shield, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Sword & Shield set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on and Card number 1. I still need this card.
