Parasect TG01/30 · Lost Origin Trainer Gallery

Parasect is Pokédex #047, generation 1 (Kanto). Parasect is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Paras. In this catalog that name is Paras (#046).

Parasect sits at TG01/30 in Lost Origin Trainer Gallery, position 1 of 30. The next card is TG02 Roserade. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on September 9, 2022. The printed size is 30, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo.

Lethargy Spores is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may make both Active Pokémon Asleep and Poisoned. The attack X-Scissor lists 50+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 50 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Mushroom-lacking specimens of this Pokémon lie unmoving in the forest, lending credence to the hypothesis that the large mushroom is in control of Parasect's actions." The regulation mark is F.

Parasect (#047) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Parasect 41/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Trainer Gallery Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Oswaldo KATO illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 12 other cards of Parasect list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Oswaldo KATO. I count 84 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Lost Origin Trainer Gallery set binder is where a full Lost Origin Trainer Gallery set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Parasect can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer Gallery. I still need this card.
