Wigglytuff 68/189 · Darkness Ablaze

Wigglytuff is Pokédex #040, generation 1 (Kanto). Wigglytuff is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Jigglypuff. In this catalog that name is Jigglypuff (#039).

Wigglytuff sits at 68/189 in Darkness Ablaze, position 68 of 201. Before it is 67 Jigglypuff, and after it is 69 Mew V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on August 14, 2020. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 201 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Sleep Pulse lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Double Smash is another attack lists 90× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 2 coins. This attack does 90 damage for each heads. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "When it gets angry, it inhales with all its might, and its body gradually inflates. Sometimes they can grow 20 times larger!" The regulation mark is D.

Wigglytuff (#040) has 27 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Wigglytuff 16/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Lee HyunJung illustrated this one. 22 other cards of Wigglytuff list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Lee HyunJung. I count 28 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Darkness Ablaze set binder is where a full Darkness Ablaze set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wigglytuff can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
