Celebi V 245/264 · Fusion Strike

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi V is a Basic V Grass Pokémon with 190 HP.

Celebi V sits at 245/264 in Fusion Strike, position 245 of 284. Before it is 244 Fusion Strike Energy, and after it is 246 Tsareena V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 12, 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Leaflet Dance lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Attach any number of Grass Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. Slash Back is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Celebi, while this one is Celebi V. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Teeziro illustrated this one. 33 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Teeziro. I count 70 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fusion Strike set binder is where a full Fusion Strike set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
