Shaymin V 13/172 · Brilliant Stars

Shaymin is Pokédex #492, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Shaymin V is a Basic V Grass Pokémon with 190 HP.

Shaymin V sits at 13/172 in Brilliant Stars, position 13 of 186. Before it is 12 Cherubi, and after it is 14 Shaymin VSTAR. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 25, 2022. The printed size is 172. This checklist is longer, at 186 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

The attack Flap lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass. Revenge Blast is another attack lists 60+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. This attack does 40 more damage for each Prize card your opponent has taken. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is F.

Shaymin (#492) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Shaymin LV.X DP39/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Shaymin LV.X, while this one is Shaymin V. That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Satoshi Shirai illustrated this one. 33 other cards of Shaymin list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Satoshi Shirai. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Brilliant Stars set binder is where a full Brilliant Stars set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Shaymin can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
