Leafeon SWSH191/307 · SWSH Black Star Promos

SWSH Black Star Promos is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 15, 2019. The printed size is 307. This checklist is longer, at 304 cards. Leafeon is SWSH191/307, in position 191 of 304 on this checklist. Before it is SWSH190 Eevee, and after it is SWSH192 Glaceon. The listed rarity is Promo.

Leafeon is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Leafeon (#470), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

OKACHEKE illustrated this card. The same name is on 59 other cards in the catalog.

Leafeon (#470) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2025. The earliest other card is Leafeon 7/100 in Majestic Dawn (2008). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and OKACHEKE illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 30 other cards of Leafeon list a different HP.

The attack Leaf Guard lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Grass Knot is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each Colorless in your opponent's Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon's tail is blade sharp, with a fantastic cutting edge that can slice right though large trees." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for SWSH Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the SWSH Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Leafeon can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
