Darkrai-EX 74/122 · BREAKpoint

BREAKpoint is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 3, 2016. The printed size is 122. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. Darkrai-EX is 74/122, in position 74 of 126 on this checklist. Before it is 73 Shiftry, and after it is 75 Pangoro. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Darkrai-EX is a Basic EX Darkness Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Darkrai (#491), generation 4 (Sinnoh).

Eske Yoshinob illustrated this card. The same name is on 177 other cards in the catalog.

Darkrai (#491) has 40 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darkrai LV.X DP19/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Darkrai LV.X, while this one is Darkrai-EX. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 30 other cards of Darkrai list a different HP.

The attack Dark Pulse lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Darkness Energy attached to all of your Pokémon. Dark Head is another attack lists 80+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. If your opponent's Active Pokémon is Asleep, this attack does 80 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for BREAKpoint, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the BREAKpoint set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darkrai can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
