Celebi XY111/211 · XY Black Star Promos

XY Black Star Promos is a set in the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Celebi is XY111/211, in position 112 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is XY110 Mew, and after it is XY112 Jirachi. The listed rarity is Promo.

Celebi is a Basic Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Celebi (#251), generation 2 (Johto).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The attack Time Call lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a card that evolves from 1 of your Pokémon and put it onto that Pokémon. (This counts as evolving that Pokémon.) Shuffle your deck afterward. Leech Seed is another attack lists 10 damage. The cost is Grass. Heal 10 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It has the power to travel across time, but it is said to appear only in peaceful times."

I keep a set binder for XY Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
