Stormfront is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on November 1, 2008. The printed size is 100. This checklist is longer, at 106 cards. Torterra is 11/100, in position 11 of 106 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Sceptile, and after it is 12 Abomasnow. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.
Torterra is a Stage 2 Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. The card lists level 47. In the Pokédex this is Torterra (#389), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Grotle. In this catalog that name is Grotle (#388).
Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.
Torterra (#389) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Torterra 17/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Masahiko Ishii illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 8 other cards of Torterra list a different HP.
Sunshine Song is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), when you play Torterra from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon, you may choose as many of your Grass Pokémon in play as you like. For each Grass Pokémon you choose, search your deck for an Evolution card that evolves from that Pokémon and evolve it. Shuffle your deck afterward. The attack Crash Impact lists 60 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Torterra does 20 damage to itself. Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon, if any. Land Shake is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, when your opponent puts a Basic Pokémon from his or her hand onto his or her Bench, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon. Weakness is Water +30. Resistance is Lightning -20. Retreat cost is 4.
I keep a set binder for Stormfront, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stormfront set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Torterra can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
