DP Black Star Promos is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2007. The printed size is 56, and the checklist is the same length. Torterra LV.X is DP09/56, in position 9 of 56 on this checklist. Before it is DP08 Shieldon, and after it is DP10 Infernape LV.X. The listed rarity is Promo.
Torterra LV.X is a Level-Up Grass Pokémon with 160 HP. The card lists level X. In the Pokédex this is Torterra (#389), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Torterra. In this catalog that name is Torterra (#389).
Shizurow illustrated this card. The same name is on 79 other cards in the catalog.
Torterra (#389) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Torterra 17/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Torterra, while this one is Torterra LV.X. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Masahiko Ishii illustrated that card, and Shizurow illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Torterra list a different HP.
Forest Murmurs is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if you have more Prize cards left than your opponent, you may choose 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon and switch it with 1 of the Defending Pokémon. This power can't be used if Torterra is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Vigorous Dash lists 100 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Grass, Colorless. Does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Torterra does 30 damage to itself. Weakness is Fire +30. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: Put this card onto your Active Torterra. Torterra LV.X can use any attack, Poké-Power, or Poké-Body from its previous level.
I keep a set binder for DP Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the DP Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Torterra can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
