Leafeon SM237/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Leafeon is Pokédex #470, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Leafeon is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 110 HP. The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Leafeon sits at SM237/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 240 of 251. Before it is SM236 Alolan Sandslash-GX, and after it is SM238 Glaceon. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Aromax lists no damage number. The cost is Grass. Heal all damage from 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Leaf Blade is another attack lists 80+ damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 40 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Although it doesn't like disputes, it will sharpen the leaf on its tail into a blade and fight if it has to protect its friends."

Leafeon (#470) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2008 to 2025. The earliest other card is Leafeon 7/100 in Majestic Dawn (2008). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and chibi illustrated this one. 30 other cards of Leafeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads chibi. I count 40 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Leafeon can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
