Torterra ex 185/162 · Temporal Forces

Torterra is Pokédex #389, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Torterra ex is a Stage 2 ex Grass Pokémon with 340 HP. The card says it evolves from Grotle. In this catalog that name is Grotle (#388).

Torterra ex sits at 185/162 in Temporal Forces, position 185 of 218. Before it is 184 Drampa, and after it is 186 Iron Leaves ex. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on March 22, 2024. The printed size is 162. This checklist is longer, at 218 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 162. The listed rarity is Ultra Rare.

The attack Forest March lists 30× damage. The cost is Grass. This attack does 30 damage for each of your Grass Pokémon in play. Jungle Hammer is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Heal 50 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is H.

Torterra (#389) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2024. The earliest other card is Torterra 17/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Torterra, while this one is Torterra ex. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 340 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Ultra Rare. Masahiko Ishii illustrated that card, and PLANETA Tsuji illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Torterra list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Tsuji. I count 81 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Temporal Forces set binder is where a full Temporal Forces set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Torterra can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Sinnoh starters. I still need this card.
