Entei ex 91/95 · Team Magma vs Team Aqua

Team Magma vs Team Aqua is a set in the EX series. It was released on March 1, 2004. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 97 cards. Entei ex is 91/95, in position 91 of 97 on this checklist. Before it is 90 Cradily ex, and after it is 92 Raikou ex. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

Entei ex is a Basic ex Fire Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Entei (#244), generation 2 (Johto).

Ryo Ueda illustrated this card. The same name is on 462 other cards in the catalog.

Entei (#244) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Entei 34/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Entei, while this one is Entei ex. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 33 other cards of Entei list a different HP.

The attack Searing Flame lists 10 damage. The cost is Fire. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Burned. Bright Flame is another attack lists 90 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy attached to Entei ex. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Team Magma vs Team Aqua, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Team Magma vs Team Aqua set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Entei can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
