Entei 6/64 · Neo Revelation

Neo Revelation is a set in the Neo series. It was released on September 21, 2001. The printed size is 64. This checklist is longer, at 66 cards. Entei is 6/64, in position 6 of 66 on this checklist. Before it is 5 Delibird, and after it is 7 Ho-oh. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Entei is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 38. In the Pokédex this is Entei (#244), generation 2 (Johto).

Ken Sugimori illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,112 other cards in the catalog.

Entei (#244) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Entei 34/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. 30 other cards of Entei list a different HP.

Howl is listed as Pokémon Power. When you play Entei from your hand, you may discard the top 5 cards of your deck. (If you have fewer cards in your deck than that, discard all of them.) If any of those are Fire Energy cards, attach them to any of your Fire Pokémon of your choice. Using this power ends your turn. The attack Searing Flames lists 60 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Fire. Discard 2 Fire Energy cards attached to Entei or this attack does nothing. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Volcanoes erupt when it barks. Unable to restrain its extreme power, it races headlong around the land."

I keep a set binder for Neo Revelation, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Neo Revelation set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Entei can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
