Entei 1/17 · POP Series 2

Entei is Pokédex #244, generation 2 (Johto). Entei is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 70 HP.

Entei sits at 1/17 in POP Series 2, position 1 of 17. The next card is 2 Pidgeot. The set belongs to the POP series. It was released on August 1, 2005. The printed size is 17, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Stomp lists 10+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage. Fire Spin is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Discard 2 Basic Energy cards attached to Entei or this attack does nothing. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Entei (#244) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Entei 34/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 32 other cards of Entei list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

POP Series 2 set binder is where a full POP Series 2 set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Entei can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
