Entei V 22/172 · Brilliant Stars

Entei is Pokédex #244, generation 2 (Johto). Entei V is a Basic V Fire Pokémon with 230 HP.

Entei V sits at 22/172 in Brilliant Stars, position 22 of 186. Before it is 21 Moltres, and after it is 23 Torkoal. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 25, 2022. The printed size is 172. This checklist is longer, at 186 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Fleet-Footed is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, you may draw a card. The attack Burning Rondo lists 20+ damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Benched Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's). Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is F.

Entei (#244) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Entei 34/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Entei, while this one is Entei V. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 230 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and PLANETA Mochizuki illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 33 other cards of Entei list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Mochizuki. I count 131 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Brilliant Stars set binder is where a full Brilliant Stars set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Entei can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
