Entei SM219/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Entei is Pokédex #244, generation 2 (Johto). Entei is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 130 HP.

Entei sits at SM219/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 222 of 251. Before it is SM218 Buzzwole, and after it is SM220 Phione. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Rally Back lists 30+ damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless. If any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack during their last turn, this attack does 90 more damage. Fire Mane is another attack lists 100 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "A Pokémon that races across the land. It is said that one is born every time a new volcano appears."

Entei (#244) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Entei 34/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Ryuta Fuse illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 28 other cards of Entei list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryuta Fuse. I count 98 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Entei can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
